VETERANS & SERVICE LEAVERS

We recognise and value the unique combination of skills and attributes that veterans and service leavers possess. Our strong focus on defence and the public sector, combined with our core values allows us to offer a working environment perfectly suited to those looking to leave the services and continue their career as civilians.

The Networkology Veterans Programme, otherwise known as NetVets is our way of helping veterans and service leavers transition gradually into technology related roles whilst providing them with any additional skills and confidence they require to work full-time in the IT services industry.

THE PROCESS

Whether you’ve already left the military or have yet to push the button, we can help provide you with an honest and open view of the IT service industry, along with access to potential career opportunities with no strings attached. You can register your interest directly with us, or be referred through one of our partners as mentioned below. Once in contact we can talk to you about your goals, aspirations and existing technology skills. We will then provide some advice on the possible next steps. These steps may include coming onboard with Networkology and receiving training and support over the following weeks or months as necessary, before fully transitioning into your role with us.

As well as being a member of the Armed Forces Covenant we also partner with other organisations that are aligned to our desire to support veterans and service leavers. By working collaboratively with them we can ensure that maximum support and benefits are realised by programme members.TechVets is non-profit organisation providing guidance, education and services to veterans and service leavers. They also provide access to a wider community that can help answer any questions that you may have. The Career Transition Partnership (CTP) is a MOD backed initiative providing a range of resettlement services, helping veterans and service leavers transition into civilian life.

EVENTS & SPONSORSHIP

We are always on the lookout for new ways to support the military, and are regular attendees at trade shows and events. We are also a keen sponsor of worthwhile causes and organisations, with a couple of our most recent involvements mentioned below. Our official charity partner is Walking With The Wounded.

NATIONAL THREE PEAKS CHALLENGE

Networkology took on the National Three Peaks Challenge on September 2024 in support of Walking With The Wounded. The National Three Peaks Challenge involves climbing the three highest peaks across Scotland, England and Wales. It’s a total walking distance of 23 miles (37km) and a total ascent of 3064 metres (10,052ft) across Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon.

It was a tough journey filled with steep climbs, unpredictable weather, and moments of exhaustion, but as a team, we powered through with determination, grit, and plenty of laughs along the way. This challenge wasn’t just about testing our physical limits; it was about teamwork, resilience, and pushing ourselves beyond what we thought possible.

WALKING WITH THE WOUNDED

Walking With The Wounded (WWTW) is our official charity partner and a prominent UK military charity dedicated to supporting those who have served. Through their work, they enable veterans to positively impact their communities and live independent, fulfilling lives. All money raised from our National Three Peaks Challenge was donated to WWTW.

FORCE ATLANTIC

Networkology have been proud sponsors of the British Army Force Atlantic rowing team, competing in the Talisker Whiskey Atlantic Challenge. This grueling event sees teams compete to be the first to cross over 3000 miles of open ocean. Providing a global platform, the challenge has raised over 9 million pounds for charities worldwide since 2013.

RAF ALPINE CHAMPIONSHIPS

Acting as official sponsors the Instructor team, Networkology supports the RAF Winter Sports Alpine Association. The championships are open to veterans and those currently serving in the RAF. Our involvement allows us to build relationships with those currently serving as well as other industry partners, thus ensuring that we can continue to offer a wide range of new opportunities.
